What we are, and what we are not

GetParentCare provides care coordination: planning, scheduling, benefits navigation, and administrative support for families caring for an aging parent.

We are not a medical provider, a law firm, or a financial advisor. Nothing we say or write is medical, legal, or financial advice, and our guides are general information, not advice about your situation. Decisions about your parent's health, money, and legal affairs belong to you and your family, with licensed professionals where they are needed. We will tell you when we think you need one.

What we need from you

Accurate information, and the authority to act where you ask us to act. If you ask us to speak with a provider or insurer on your parent's behalf, you are responsible for having the consent or legal authority that makes that appropriate.

Limits of our responsibility

We work carefully, but we coordinate services delivered by others: providers, agencies, insurers, and government programs. We are not responsible for their acts, omissions, or decisions. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

If something goes wrong between us

Tell us first at hello@getparentcare.com. Most problems are fixable by two people acting in good faith. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.

Changes

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will email subscribers and update the date above before the change takes effect.
